Yamaha beech custom purchase

Loading...

This was a totally spontaneous purchase. I just bought a used 6 piece Yamaha Beech Custom kit for $699. It includes the matching snare, 18x22, 8x10, 9x12, 12x14 and 14x16 (I think these sizes are correct). The kit is in very good shape with minimal scuffs etc. Also included is the tom mounting hardware as well as a stand for the floating floor toms. I believe he mentioned there was also a snare stand, cymbal stand and kick pedal as well. Anyway, it seemed like a good deal. I'll keep this kit as the main one to play at the house. There is not much sold information on ebay so I am not really sure what these sell far. How did I do?

You did very well IMHO. These are well made, great sounding drums with a really nice controlled sound. I just waded through my local ads and saw a lot of cr@p for the price that you paid for these. Enjoy!

Glorious and lovely. Phil Ehart of Kansas has played those for years. Awesome.

I played BC on a kit share, and heard them out front, great sounding/playing drums I thought.

They were a top line pro series,I believe priced a little under the Recording and Maple Custom lines.

Love that color,sound/quality price wise you did great IMO,Congrats.

Thanks. The drums came and are in pretty good shape. To my surprise, there was also three heavy duty Yamaha cymbal stands and a snare stand included. The seller forgot to package the tom mounting hardware so that will be shipped on Monday. The heads are absolutely shot so I will have to re-skin the whole thing. I really can't tell you how they sound yet. I plan to go coated ambassadors on top and clear amb's on the bottom with a coated power stroke 3 on the bass drum.

For what it is worth the kit I played on had white coated ambs on the toms,as I said before sounded very good.

Before you go to too much effort, would you be interested in selling them?
