Hi all ,

Found this kit today on a local flea market . Some Kids were selling off some stuff . Got it cheap , kid was asking 10,- euros ,I gave him 50,- euros . Could not bear the feeling i was "stealing" it from him .

Anyway , don't know what brand it is . No badges, no nothing . Personally i think it may be english ( Premier , Olympic ) . Set came with a 12" hihat , 15" ride , some stands in poor condition . Set is 20 x 14 BD , 16 x 16 FT , 12 x 8 Tom , 14 x 3,5 Snare . Floortom is missing bottom hoop , wich is a strange one as it has 9 holes .

Hope someone can set me off in the right direction .

Chris

I rule out completely this kit being either Premier or Olympic.

The spur mount casting shown appears to be 60's UK Ajax - although it could be a casting styled like one. Otherwise the entire tom holder assembly, the tom lugs with a "Ludwig classic" styling, the 9-lug design of the floor tom, and the snare drum's very basic and scaled down design, might indicate Eastern European origins of the type found on this website:

On this web site will be found numerous manufacturers which made drums incorporating style elements (and probably some imported parts) from drum manufacturers in the west. Looks like a cool little kit!

I think it is Trowa or Tromsa.

I just love this set! For €50 I think you really did well. I've a feeling it's German. The lugs look like a Ludwig Super Classic knock off. I think Sonor did stuff like that all the time.

Very nice. For me, if the floor tom was 14" x 14" it'd be nicer, but still uber cool set! :)

From green glass drum

No.

A few days ago I have seen a similar as this (especially strainer) on some pages of net... forgot where it was...

From Chromeo

I've a feeling it's German.

The tom mount saying us that is probably British made.

Cheers,

George.

Thank you all for the responses . Guess we'll never know for shure what brand it is .

As mentioned , I thought it could be english because off the tom mount and the bass drum L shaped tension rods .

Anyway , it will be a nice project and I will come back to it when progress is made .
