Nice Aussie vintage Drouyns

Couple more kits from the show yesterday. I spoke with an exhibitor today and he said they were all severely bummed out about the fact that no-one took control of the crowd. Noise mayhem, with unfeeling "drummers" bashing the crap out of everything with the organizers evidently unable or unwilling to act.

Anyway, a couple of very cool Drouyn items:

This bop set looked like butcher block but is actually teak :

Cool Paul... I took shots of those Drouyn also, but my pics did not do them much justice...

Was noisy... (the usual suspects were responsible) .. I was in the market for a cymbal at show special price but found it impossible to even attempt a try out... will go to the shop later in the week...

Here are some beautiful "Pro" shots from the show, too bad the Vintage kits were not included.. These are what some of the Oz custom guys are putting out... Absolutely amazing woodwork .. (check out the segmented kit (#19) with each piece dovetailed)..
