Hello drum folks
I usually post on the non-U.S.A. side as I like collecting MIJ kits
I found some 1966 Slingerland stage band drums in silver sparkle
which unfortunately were painted over in a really horrible purple color
One odd thing about these drums aside from the awful paint job
the 12" tom is drilled for separate lug casings for each side
while the bass drum and floor tom are fitted with the single center mounted stage band style lugs
Yet the light colored wood interiors are all stamped Feb 1966
did Slingerland to anyone's knowledge produce drum kits in this strange configuration?
another question would be how in the heck to get all this confounded paint off my silver sparkle wraps?
my research so far says Citri-strip from home depot ...What say the experts ???..............Kenwood
