New Ludwig Atlas mount on 60's Teardrop tom

Loading...

KK

I love vintage drums but vintage hardware????....eh...

SO, I have slightly modded my re-virginized 60's teardrop tom with the new Ludwig Atlas mount.

SO far, MUCH better than getting choked out on a snare stand.

Doesn't sound any different than holding it by the rim and it sits solidly without any undue bouncing.

Excited

It's nice to see someone else using them. I've been planning to do the same for my Ludwig kits. I've re-virgined some toms (and a couple of bass drums) thinking that I'd use the Atlas mounts later.

The Atlas mounts look good too.

I use the same mount on my vintage Ludwig kit for my ride cymbal mount.. I would say that the Atlas mount is Ludwig's best invention to date.. The fact that it's universal and comes with two different mm insert sizes is just icing on the cake ;)
