What Happened to Slingerland?

Howdy.

Now that Slingerland seems to have sold their buiding in Conway, AR, and there is no current info available in Google, my question is:

What the heck happend to Slingerland?

Did someone else buy them again?

Did they go to Taiwan again?... (Yuck!!)

Does anyone know where they went, and if they will start production again?

Here is an interesting article about the recent machinations by Gibson re Slingerland.

Hard to figure from the sidelines, as with Rogers and Premier. None of the three seemed ready for off shore competition, modern manufacturing protocols, etc etc. The practically back from the grave stories of Gretsch and Ludwig are all the more remarkable.
