Cool and absolutely rare finish.

If I look back to the 70's, I would have considered this one as 'ugly' - but nowadays ...

Wasn't Sonorus a Belgian producer in former times?

Cheers, Ralf

Oh !! Extremely beautiful !! Sonorus were great drums!

From Ralf

Wasn't Sonorus a Belgian producer in former times?

Some years ago Sonorus was revived, but soon pined away again.

Their first site was interesting and have included some history, but a new kind become as distributor only... And now it is off from net. I suppose that Sonorus guys closed their business.

Cheers,

George.

A pitty the sellers asks such an extreme price.

If it were 350 euro's max, I'd buy it.

I think I think it's ugly too, but in a nice way.

Pretty unique and funky wrap.. Those imitation Ludwig lugs are a little too close to the real thing, and i'm sure that if Ludwig saw them at the time of their production, there'd be some hell to pay Lol ! :p ..There is a company in my city here in Canada that makes funky retro looking wraps like the one you've posted, and i've used them on my vintage Ludwig orphaned kit that you can see up here.. They're very unique and eye catching.. Some even look a lot like that wrap..

Ringo Starr had some of his Ludwig kits customized with some of these wraps, as you'll see on their website.. Click on the link to see one of the many different types of wrap series they have.. Awesome stuff, and not as expensive as classic wraps..

Those are Lumigraf wraps, they do make some awesome wraps, but their prices...god, sky high. Even Precision doesn't have the balls to charge that much.

I wrap hundreds of drums a year and got really tired of paying these pirates their usurious prices. Now I import wraps in bulk, mostly vintage style pearl wraps. I sell them to members here pretty cheap too.

I have a thread on them in the for sale section:
