Well now I can get on their home page but none of the links seem to work. They're having some serious site issues.

Drag, but in my experience, few businesses keep their sites fully up to date on what's in stock anyway. So I'd recommend just calling them up. Phone number's in the upper right hand corner of the site.

The parts guy's name is Anthony I think, and he'll check the parts bins while you are talking to him on the phone. Great guy too. I got my Club Date floor tom tension rods from these folks. Great price fast delivery.

DownTownFarmer, you are correct - his name is Anthony Defusco. He and his wife Susan own The Village Drum & Music. I do all of my business with him. It's a smallish Mom & Pop shop and he gets all of my support. For the record, he has been doing restoration for Jeremy at W&A drums. He is nothing short of great to do business with. He is very much still in business (located in Scituate, RI). In fact, I'll be at his shop tomorrow. If anybody is looking for anything specific, I can ask him for you if for some reason you can't get in touch with him.

It's a great feeling to do business with/support good people. I was going a little nutty trying to find the Club Date parts, stumbled upon The Village in a thread on some other forum. Again, it was a new experience conversing with Anthony while he went through the bins, "anything else you're looking for?"......sweet!

Hi all,

I will check out the links I see posted above, but thought if I tell y'all what I have and am looking for, someone may know right where to go. I have a Slingerland 1963 Gene Krupa Deluxe Set No. 1N that I bought in 1967. It has the WMP finish, and somewhere along the line the 1/2 inch WMP strips on the bass drum rim came loose and I didn't keep them. I would love to find some to put back on the rims. As you can see from the attached pics, the shells do have some yellowing. I would like to find rim strips that aren't "like new", but have some yellowing. Would anyone know a good place to contact? Thanks.
