I just acquired 4 rather lovely vintage snare drums and would like them evaluated.Would any of you recommend Ned Ingermam to do a top notch and professional job?..I have a 20,s solid shell Super Lud,a 30,s Leedy broadway standard,a white with white enamel badge Lud and a 50,s RK,ALL IN pretty decent condition...Have any of you dealt with Ned before?...thx

No, I wouldn't recommend Ned. For one thing, there are people who know as much about vintage drums as he does who will be just as thorough and give you the information for free. Secondly, as far as valuation is concerned, EBay is still generally the gauge for what a drum is worth in the market. Now that the drum forums have been in place for so long, it's the best resource for information, etc.

Also, keep in mind that some of these things follow trends. A written evaluation today, might not reflect what the market is going to be interested in in the next several years.
