SOLD !!! Thanks!!! UPDATE: Photos loaded but aren't of highly quality. Contact me for better pics if interested. Thank you.

This American maple (10 ply) gorgeous bop kit was produced by Gretsch in 2012 only and was limited to 125, according to the company. Warm vintage sound in this professional kit. This is the more coveted and most attractive (in my opinion) light blue lacquered version. I have seen only 1 other kit like this offered for sale in these sizes. You may recall, there is a larger 22/16/13/12 version as well which is more common. Honestly, I have barely played these and they've sat in my drum room for almost 3 years. The factory Evans heads sound great and there was no need to upgrade. This kit is pristine and ready to go. I don't want to ship these as they are heavy. I could drive up to one hour to meet. Asking $1,300. Will send photos to interested buyers, but you can find a few on Google images. Thanks so much for reading.

Gretsch told me 125 of each color were produced. Yet these kits may be small in size but they are loud. 30 degree bearing edges and 10 plies I believe. An American kit made assembled in Taiwan is my understanding. The snare is a phenomenal 6.5x14". Warm tone but loud.

Hello to all

Can you, please put some light on, in way modern business running today, what is

"An American kit made assembled in Taiwan" stands for?

Are all shells, lugs, hoops etc made in USA, then shipped to Taiwan for assembling and shipped back to USA?

I know that Crown amplifiers have opposite way in production. They make all parts in East, bring them, and than assemble products in USA

Why not ship? If buyer pays for you to drop at a Pack & Ship place?

Sorry, that would be in the Pittsburgh (Western) Pennsylvania area. Thank you.

ps And I understand shipping would be costly but if someone was willing to pay for the costs to have a professional packing place do it I would consider that. These buggers are heavy and I hate the task of boxing, wrapping, etc. :)

The only thing made in the US is probably the heads and shells.

My best guess is they were finished in Taiwan and used Chinese or Taiwanese made hardware as EPA regulation has gotten to the point where it is no longer feasible to do that in the US.

Being originally from Western PA, the EPA Chinese connection is a close one, there was a steel mill up in Beaver that was sold to the Chinese, moved to China because of EPA,then because there were no mills in the US that could make steel for the new SF bay bridge, supplied the steel for it.

Howz that for logic?
