Late 50's-60...Preferably 22, 13, 16. Finish ? I'm doubting the opportunity to be picky will arise so, if anyone is thinking of selling, I'm looking.

I'll keep my eyes open for you. Complete G. Way kits are -very hard- to come by. You're going to have to dig deep for this one, buddy. If I spot anything in my travels, I'll pm you. I own a G. Way kit, and I can promise you that if you find one, it'll be the best sounding/playing set of drums you ever owned. Good luck.

Check these out on fleabay, I think they belong to one of our members, not sure:

Thanks. Yes, I did see that one, but I'm not into the 20" bass drum with pearl spurs or whatever is on that thing. I'm really looking for a 22". It hard to say what would be a deeper hole to dig, a nice set of Camco drums or GW. I know GW are scarce and hard to come by, but it seems like they command about the same money as a nice Camco set, depending on the wrap, and of course condition. Then again, I've only been looking for about a month, so I don't have much to go on.

Thanks again.

You shouldn't pass on any kits with a 20" until you hear one. My 20" G.Way bass drum is hands down the best sounding 20" I own. Just saying, don't dismiss them out of hand. Some of the Geo. Way drums you'll find out there will have Rogers Swivo hardware on them, with drums this rare it can be a 'take them as you find them' situation only because there are so few around to be had at all.

I hear you John but I presently have 5 other 20" Rogers bass drums/sets. I use a few of those in the studio, but I'm looking for a GW set that I can use live as well. For the music I play, a 20" wont cut it. I'm a patient man, and I've learned that sooner or later, what you're looking for will show up. I'm constantly traveling too so that helps. The black set on Ebay seems to have too many unanswered questions, and the fact that the seller neglected to include the zoom option to view the set , no bearing edge shots, and told me directly that the lugs are perfectly round with no plugs leads me to believe that they are not very experienced with vintage drums or selling them. I don't mind waiting. One will come to me sooner or later. I currently own quite a few sets, including 3 Camco one of which is a bop set. I have it covered. My studio and live needs really are covered ten fold. My GW set quest would be a luxury addition.

Thanks,

I've talked to them about the set. Not really in the condition I am after. Thanks for looking out though. Appreciated.
