Help with MIJ Crown kit tom hardware

Loading...

I have a Crown 5 piece kit that I'm trying to restore. I'm looking for a picture of the type of Tom mount it had. The original owner put Rogers mounts on. The only thing I have to go by is the original mounting screws for the toms were a diamond pattern with the top and bottom spacing shallower then the right and left.

I am also looking for these parts if anyone does have them.

There was once a blue pearl Crown featured on this site and may be in the gallery. It had many lugs on each drum (I think this is one of the uniqueness features of Crown) If you can find it, perhaps the photos will show it. I don't even remember who owned it, but I recall it was someone fairly active on our forum. EDIT: Must be I was totally off on 'fairly active on our forum!'. I guess the bit about it was that I associated it with Mikey - and he certainly is active.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

From Drummerjohn333

That's the exact color I have. Badges are missing though. They're not basswood as MIKEY said, they're luaun. Now I need to find the mounts and Tom holder post.

Here ya go bud

Thanks GAR

Hello backbeatkeeper

Congrats in finding those Crown drums

They do not show up very often

Last year, I purchased the drums featured on the thread

for which drummerjohn provided the link above

and while I have a few kits with similar double tom mounts

I have no others exactly like the Crown mount which is a little heavier duty

Good luck with them

Mine while in great original shape, are lacking the snare drum
