Picked up the $150. Premier (Bop??) kit?

So I posted last week that I was going to pick these up today. Not usually what I buy but they looked interesting and came with a bunch of stands and a nice Pearl throne for 150 clams. The Bass is 18 x 16, the floor is 14 x 12, 12 x 8 tom and a 5 x 14 snare. Very light colored wood inside. Did Premier make a 90's Bop kit?? I'll post more pics as I'm cleaning them up, there really dirty butt look like they'll clean up nice. Looking forward to hearing more about these. The pic makes them look black but there actually like a dark grey, not quite sparkle look. Thanks..Rich.

Can't go wrong at that price! I'm doing my smaller gigs right now with a Premier Artist Birch bop kit in the same sizes and can't complain. After selling the double pedal (i know, weird on an 18" kick) and cymbals the kit basically cost me what yours did. I do remember XPK (lacquered) bop kits from the (pre-Yamaha) 90's, mostly in a green lacquered finish, that please me at the time, but I can't remember seeing APKs in those sizes and I distinctly remember XPKs being painted black on the inside of shells. I don't remember APKs being painted white on the inside, but maybe this is a specific period. I'm just curious. Anyways enjoy those Premiers! Congrats!

The bass drum done after about three and a half hours of cleaning. Every piece of hardware removed, cleaned and polished. Every screw, washer, nuts etc. cleaned, wire brushed. The chrome is excellent! Took a close up so you can actually see the color. This is a nice looking and sounding drum for a lower end kit. Might get a few more done today. Even though this isn't a vintage, valuable drum I still enjoy putting the effort into bringing it back to life. It's therapeutic for me...Rich.
