A Hoshino acrylic kit just popped up on Seattle Craigslist. I had no idea they made acrylic drums. Buyer's asking $1195 and it looks like it's pristine. Very cool how they did the badges on these offset from the vent hole.
Here's one I've never even heard of before
'61 Slingerland Bop Kit Sea Green Rewrap
Round Badge Bop Kit Clone Red Sparkle
'67 Pearl President 13/16/22 Red Oyster Pearl
I came across a similar kit in Dutch internet marketplace. Smokey brown color. Pristine also, only costing 700 bucks. Don't like the sound of acrylic kits, so I let it go.

Yeah, according to 3 minutes of googling, this price is delusional and they're normally worth more like 4-500. Cool looking though. Someone said maybe they're called "Crystar" kits.

Pearl (MIJ) had acrylic kits. Called "Crystal Beat".
Started in 1973.
Now they are re-issuing them.
Thanks to Mr. Jerry Jenkins
I bought these for 200$. Baxter with Hoshino H.
So are those Baxter brand?
Could we see a pic of badge please?
Nice.

They sound as good as they look. I've always wanted an acrylic kit. I have an acrylic snare drum from PDP which I enjoy. This kit came up and I did not hesitate when I saw the price. They were filthy and in need of attention. The sound of the toms is warm and true. The bass drum is that wet 70s thud. I love em already. Very easy to tune and no damping. Perfect amount of sustain and decay. I play Pearl Masters Custom but I will definitely bring these to my next gig.
