It's really weird I've come across two vintage green sparkle sets. But no vintage gold sparkles. I want a gold sparkle! I still would like to see some pictures because I only found two different sets.

Green sparkle is nice, but it always fades -and usually unevenly!

Gold sparkle is gorgeous and I see VERY few gold sparkle sets out there. I can't remember the last time I saw a really nice matched gold sparkle set. Gold sparkle is really beautiful if it is unfaded. When gold sparkle fades, it gets "dull". I have a mint 1964 gold sparkle Pioneer snare drum and if I could find a Jazzette in that finish I would go nuts!

I've been meaning to update and add some new pictures, but I only check in on breaks between breaking up the walls in my kitchen. I am doing some remodeling! I'll get to it this Fall, though! I promise!

I have a picture of a 1974 green sparkle set. I took that covering off and replaced it with black. The green was fading in patches all over the toms. I went to black to cover up the horrible nicotine brown that builds up on them from bars.

I found a gold sparkle but I don't think the price is right and it has been slightly modified/Missing the tom mount to. Here are some pictures. What would you pay for it? What do you think everything but the snare is worth?

I'm not really ready to buy a set anytime soon until I'm done with my WMP Super Classic. But who knows I'm pretty good at finding deals. Let me know what you guys think.

Here's an early 70's Ludwig Auditorium snare in unfaded Green Sparkle. It was found at an estate sale, and had been in a case for most of it's life.
