Sorry, wrong. Look at the late '50s catalogs. 5" Hollywood Ace has 8 sound lugs and sticksaver hoops like the drum in question. Call it whatever you want... the difference between a Hollywood Ace and the student radio king 8 the hoops and this drum has the sticksavers.

I did. I can`t put an Ace together like the factory drum in the OP. I tried.

The option of (Add $4 for triple flange hoops) came between 55 and 59 when they changed the throw. I can only put together a Student Radio King in this configuration from the factory 56ish like I first stated. Not an Ace...At 59 they made a throw change and I can`t do either.

I stand that it`s a 56ish Student Radio King up to and not after 59.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!
