Well. I use the fence with a block of wood clamped to it to roll the shell against, but like a dummy I lifted the shell up and once it left the table it was all over. A rookie mistake made by a so called pro, hah ha

That`s what I saw,.....Cuz I`ve done it...

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

We already know the drum will be pro level when you`re done with it.

Thank you! That means a lot coming from a fellow carpenter.

Thank you!

Keep at it Jeff. I always read your updates. Heck we all have bloopers. Nothing to do but salvage it best you can amd move on. My son has had a few too. Chalk it up and remember the good ones! Remind me to tell you the story sometime about the "cursed" guitar he made a customer out of 800 year old ancient Kauri wood. Nothing bad happened to him but the customer and guitar....sheesh!! Bad juju that piece of wood had. :)

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Hey thanks Glenn, I'm glad to hear your not in the serious snow belt.

Okay, stay tuned, I have a kitchen that needs to go out next week so I'm not going to have a ton of drum time in the next few days. But after next week I will have time and I'm gonna really try and finish this project up. Thanks for staying with me.

Thank you!

Been polishing lugs at night while watching tv. From time to time I have been working on sanding the shells. Im trying to get all of the black and white paint out from where the shell meets the ring. I am excited to get the veneer and finish going but Im not going to rush it. A little sanding on the inside of the shells every other night or so has been paying off, I think a clear coat of lacquer will look real nice now. I think this kit will be a keeper. See, here I go again.

They are all "Keepers" Aren't they? I Tell my wife they are all "Seller's", but I know better. (And I bet she does too)

See now Jeff, if you adjust your thinking a bit,..."this kit will sell" or "it has my name on it", and since you`ve no place to store them, .."went out the door", all keep Jeff linked to the kit.
