This might be a general issue, not just a vintage drum issue.
Has anyone had experience with washing older canvas drum bags?
I suspect hand washing would be safest, but heck, I just want to get it done
fast in the machine.
Thanks

Gentle cycle on your machine should be fine. I've never done a CANVAS one, but I've washed my newer black nylon ones, thay came out like brand new.
Do it in cold water, you don't want 'em to SHRINK!! Air dry too, no heat should retain the size.
Thanks man. I do all the laundry in my house and what you said makes total
sense. :D Shrinkage would suck. I don't think these bags have ever been washed since 1960.

I'll bet there's things on that canvas, that should it learn to TALK . . . Eye Ball
