SLINGERLAND 15x12 BASS DRUM CONVERT && CUSTOM KICK DRUM RISER@!!@

Alright guys,

its been a while since i built something cool. So to start I made a custom bass drum riser with some pieces i had lying around plus a mic stand clip that i bought used off feebay for $7.

The piece of metal is drilled and there is a bolt that the mic clip attaches to. (I got the idea from the drummerworld forum)

-The piece of metal is from a coat hanger that you would hang on your door.

-All I did was drilled it and mounted the mic clip on it. I ended up epoxying a key chain that i had lying around so the metal had enough "meat" to attach. The piece of metal is indeed a little thin but i thought it would be cool to just make something to save $20- 30 on a gibralter riser that have horrible reviews. I really didnt want to gamble the risk.

So heres the custom kick riser that attaches to the hoop.

Next I have a WMP 15x12 marcher that i had laying around. The drum was already drilled for a sling-- ( it came that way)

Bought some wood 15 inch hoops from a forum member here ("neven" and his name on here is Surface) and bought some danmar clip on bass spurs. Also bought 3 1/2 inch Trods and had the claws laying around.

Powerstroke 3 coated coated on the batter and a Ludwig head for the reso side. The reso side was originally a clear head that came on the marcher. I "plasti dipped" the head white. It sounds killer.

Im going to do a youtube sample tomorrow and add it to the thread. Id like to find some WMP shells to turn this into a complete kit but for now i will use it for jazz gigs and small space gigs ..

in case you guys dont know what plasti dip is . its in a rattle can ..
