A Couple Ludwig Questions

. Did Ludwig ever make orange sparkle in the 60's and if not do you think a gold sparkle could fade to look like one?

. Did Ludwig ever make a set with the center drum mount like on the Hollywood set but with only one arm on it?(Like in the picture below)

. When did ludwig stop putting nickel hardware on their sets?

Nickel hardware stopped sometime around 1960-62. Orange sparkle was available early in the 60's but wasn't that popular. Finally, yes they did use a single post tom mount in the late 60's all the way to about 1980. Check the catalog pages on the main Vintage Drum Guide website for pics.

I'm glad I could help and that I'm still appreciated by some on this forum.....

Sparkle gold seems to be the only thing I can come up with. Gretsch had a tangarine sparkle in the 60's.......but I can't seem to find anything with ludwig.....maybe yours are gold or red that have faded to an orange?
