That's really nice! I had a sorta of similar small Ludwig the "Gig Lite", 100% USA birch shells, but I bet this is nicer on account of the too quick response of the shallow depths the Gig Lite.

I guess it would all depend on what sound you want really. These do sound nice. Thanks JSdrums.

They are probably Chinese made heads and Ludwig has some sort of advertising deal with Remo where their brand name is placed on the cheap heads.... my guess only as I don't know this for fact.
