Last month I bought a brand new ludwig nomad kit with a 18" kick. I just wanted a jazz kit, since I have my 68 luddys with 22" kick and my early 60's Sonor teardrop with a 20" kick, and I just finished my kids drums with a 16" kick, so I want a kit with a 18" lick. The ludwigs came in and boy was i disappointed. They were the cheapest kit i have ever saw. I sent them back and got a refund. it cost me $130 on shipping etc... Well, i started looking for a Tama Stagestar kit. I found one on craigslist for 300 and was thinking about it. I saw one on ebay "pick up only" and ended up going for over 300.
This morning I looked at craigslist and there was a drum kit for $50. The ad didnt tell anything at all. I couldnt tell what they were by the pics. I emailed and she called me. i asked if she knew what kind they were and she said "Stagestar" i couldnt believe my ears. I agreed to meet her at 12:15. I was watching my watch all moorning. On my way to go look at them my Bronco II died at a red light and I didnt think it was gonna start. ( I loaned my Yukon XL to my bro to go on vacation) I was livid! It finally started and I went to see them. I didnt even bicker, even though she commented that they had been used and abused. The were very dusty. i GOT A 18" KICK, A 10 TOM, A 14" FLOOR TOM, and a 13X4 metal snare, a tama snare stand, a tama cymbal stand, 2 pacific cymbal stands, 14" pearl hi hats, and a tama throne. No tom arm. Its missing the 12" tom and the double tom arm and hi hat stand.
I already had a tama double tam arm so i will use it. I will search for the 12" tom. L@@K
