Another great deal with John, Purdie Shuffle. John is just like one of the family. Thanks so very much for everything!! Sorry I'm late getting this message up. The Dyna will have a very happy home here for a long time. Great addition to the Rogers kit I'm working on. Thanks again~!

Hey Glenn! Man, I clean forgot about the Dyna! Yes, like dealing with family. I don't have to tell you that I have a warm spot in my heart for you and your wonderful sons. I also feel a bond with you because we both spent our working lives in the printing trade. I was always proud of being a tradesman and having gone through an old-school apprenticeship and then decades as a journeyman, I know what it takes to make it in the trade. I have deep respect and I feel a bond of brotherhood with other printers. You're the only other printer here...

Enjoy the drum, brother...

John

What is it with printers being musicians.

I have a degree in graphics and back in the late 80’s I worked as a press operator in a screen-print-shop.

Out of the 9 guys in our team, 7 played instruments. (2 drummers, 3 bass players and 2 guitarists). Great fun and a lot to talk about during lunch breaks!

Want to apologize for not responding earlier on ALL my fantastic transactions the past few years. A huge call out is to a fantastic honorable member on here (an a few others...you know who you are) Mike Layton! Has given me so much advice through the years and have had nothing but great dealings with! As most of you know, I travel for work, and hardly home....and when I am, well.....my wifes list is long! Mikes name and number is posted on my drum wall in case something should happen to me unexpectedly with instructions for my wife to call. Let's hope it never happens, but comforting to know Mike would have my back, and the best interest for my family...for that I am extremely grateful.

To all of you that I have had the honor of dealing with (list is long, and forgive me for not mentioning everyone), either selling or buying...just to let you all know, I appreciate everything! Have always respected the community, and the community has not let me down. You are a super group of people and if you ever need my help....I have your back.

Thanks again,

Nevin

Me in cudos also great dealing with you

Can't get any better than mikey to have your back

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Mike Layton is one of the nicest, coolest human beings anybody could ever hope to meet. If I have made just one good friend in all my time in drum forums, it's Mike. I love him like a brother and there is nothing I wouldn't do for him. If you're lucky enough to be able to count Mike among your friends, then you feel the same way I do, honored to know the guy.
