Cymbal Guessing Game

Here is a short audio / video sound file that I recorded of my hi hats. You can listen and you can look, but you can't touch and you have to guess what they are.

Clues:

They're 14"

They're not a matched pair - both are the same make only the Top is an older generation than the bottom.

They're not made in USA

I'll post new mystery pies for you to guess soon. I was thinking the winner should get to keep the cymbals, but these aren't going anywhere. Maybe another time. :P

I won't reveal the answer until somebody guesses correctly.

Let the guessing begin.

OK, so I was hoping somebody would say those are old K's no doubt. :D

Bermuda - It was a good guess. Well done sir. You have a good ear. These are actually Super-Zyn Hi Hats. The Top is an older hand hammered and the bottom is a 60's Super-Zyn (machine hammered)

Appreciate it Kelly. I'd be interested if it were a hand hammered, small stamp 50's Super-Zyn. I have a pair of 60's, machine hammered Super-Zyn hats and just the one hand hammered, small stamp version so I'd be on the lookout for another one of those. Check the photo below for the 2 different stamps. The font is a bit different and the size too. I'd be looking for the smaller stamp seen here.

They're good hi hats. I have a pair so I'd be looking for the earlier version as I've only got the one of them paired with one like yours. It'd be a whole lot easier to sell if you had a pair of these, but maybe there's somebody here that would like it as a Top hat. It's a nice, light one. I find they're great recording Hi Hats because they don't spill all over the place. They're a good volume. I like quiet, mellow hats and these are great for that. Best of luck with the sale.
