One set looks like a Hollywood Marazzi while the other one seems to be a Pearl.

Please have alook at athe attached photos.

The black kit is a Sonor but the other pics aren't clear enough for me to tell.

Don't Miazzi drums have odd rims? The toms have rims with a long transition from the lug hole.

The black drums are Sonor, as CT said. They are a Performer kit. You can tell by the bass drum claws and that there are only eight lugs (although some Performer kicks had ten lugs). The snare in the same pic is not the matching Performer snare drum. It doesn't look like a Sonor snare to me.

robronk,

I can`t tell what the lighter kit is, you need to get closer pics. that show mounts, badges or dampers, these help more than anything else.

That (painted) black kit looks to me like the last run of the early 70`s SONOR Swinger series, at this run, Swinger went from beginner kits to mid level pro. Performers never had small logo lugs. Closer detailed pics will confirm.

The snare is not SONOR, looks chrome over Brass. Need to show the throw-off.

Try to find the stamped trademark on the top of the cymbals too.

Oddball, I believe that the Swinger model had a different lug than the ones shown in these pics. The Swinger lug was somewhat more rounded and less angular.

Yes the first and second series did have a Ludwig type lug that was plastic, then metal. Later on in 74/75, Swinger again changed with the drop of the other budget kits. Swinger was fitted with Champion trim and offered as a mid level pro kit. Champion offered the new oil heated 24" oven, They ran a few Teardops and six ply Champions through it then went to nine ply with Super Champions and Phonic series. A few 24 inch teardrops have been surfaced but never a Swinger or other budget series from earlier.
