Vintage Super Zyn 5 Star Cymbal crash/ride.....70's

Loading...

This is another of the cymbals i got with the Premier B303 kit i purchased recently. The condition as you can see is fab for the 70's period. A lot of people seem to be knocking these cymbals, all i can say is it sounds blooming great. It weighs in at 1700grams. Thanks.....sean..

Your five star Super Zyn looks great, presumably B20. I'd love to hear it! Congrats on the B303s and your cymbal score. Once in a while I flip through Gumtree ads in the UK just for kicks and it amazes me the drums I see for 200 pounds!

This year I sold a Krut Special and then turned around and bought it back. It has a really weird bell taper and seemingly less tin in the alloy than other Zyn/Krut's. It's kind of a sizzle/crash/ride/china thingy. 2 months after selling it the buyer calls me back to buy a vintage Zildjian crash & I ended up with the Krut and cash. I figure I can always find old A's, but have rarely heard cymbals that sound like this one.

1964 Ludwig Champagne Super Classic
1970 Ludwig Blue Oyster Super Classic
1977 Rogers Big R Londoner 5 ebony
1972/1978 Rogers Powertone/Big R mix ebony
60's Ludwig Supersensitive
Pearl B4514 COB snare ( the SC snare)
Pearl Firecracker
PJL WMP maple snare
Odds & Sods

Sabians, Paistes, Zildjians, Zyns, UFIPs, MIJs etc

What i want to do is start getting sound files for these cymbals. I have already put them on ebay the condition is absolutely top class. Funny enough the ajax 18" is probably the best turn up as it sounds top class not like a trash can hahahah...Thanks for your comments........sean
