Suuuweet! These are tasty pies. I had a 22" Dry Light Ride that I really regret selling. My K Custom had a serial number stamped onto it. It might have been 2009 or something. This definitely seems older, but I couldn't say for sure. I had an 80's K Custom ride with no serial. I don't know when they started with the serial numbers and maybe the stamp these days is done by laser? I'm sure somebody here will know. I like the low profile of these cymbal.

I have just weighed the cymbal at 3050 grams. One thing i have noticed the newer ones are stamped Custom Dry Ride with a weight of 28??. It sure hasnt done a lot of playing.

Late 80's early 90's, at least that was when I had mine after being influenced by Dave Weckl. Had a 20'' wet version too and the 13'' K/Z combo hats, only have the hats left and won't ever give those up :)

Found it!!

I've got K Customs starting in 1987, K Custom dry in 1989. Scroll down to later years.

Laser serials are later, and I also give them all and decode the years.

That's all I've got.

A 20" at 3050g? That's a very heavy cymbal. Most of my 20"s are between around 1900 to 2150g. Are you sure its that heavy?

I have checked and double checked. The weight is correct. Another one was on ebay exact weight Custom Dry. This is the earlier one about 89/90 im being told with the stamp. .........Sean.
