WOW-that`s alot of doe and esp. in Canadian $.Looks like it`s been taken off the ebay "for sale" for whatever reason,didn`t see a best offer accepted ,but who knows with these snares?.Thanks for the tip on the resto at the museum and i`ll check it out,i`ve never seen one of them restored and don`t you dare alter that middle one Latz-i know you were kidding,but i did shriek for a second.Wayne

Wayne, that is a pic of an ultra rare 6.5" model. I've heard that there were only 2 made. Not sure but I like the looks of it better than my 6" model….. and it would complete my collection :D:rolleyes::D

Latz,i`ve never even heard of this rare bird before little alone seen one.Must be amongst the rarest of all snares.Hope you come across one someday to complete your fine collection and thanks for letting me know about this incredible looking snare.Do you know the model no. of this 6.5" snare?

Sorry Wayne, I do not. Guessing, I would say an HLD 596, but that's just my guess. That may even be the model # of my 6"...

Latz,this mystery is getting better all the time and with maybe only several made(proto types) there may have never even been a model no. assigned, however you`d think there had to be.Can`t track them down without a model no.Let me know if and when you find out more info on them please Latz.Not looking to buy even if i could afford one, but just very curious on this super scarce beauty.

Nope. I was told that it was a 6.5 " bronze made for Bernard Purdie….

I was also told that there was only a couple/few made.
