Late 60's Pearl President kit "Pan by Pearl"

Here's the pix of all 4 drums stripped down to the bare shells. Depending on the light and the angle of the camera, all of these drums can show the brighter blue color, but not as much as the bass drum.

1968 my B-I-L bought his Pan by Pearl kit new. 22/16/13 with a chrome snare. Color is WMP and the kit looks pretty snazzy!

Does anyone have one for sale?

That's quite a rare wrap - I will keep my eyes wide open on the Japan scene for that.

For info. & live schedule:

Hey I like your Pearl Presidents.

Wanna sell them?

Anyway, check out my 20x14 kick that I restored to working order after someone/owner before me cut it in half......well, tried to upload it, but file was too large

I might consider selling them. Send me a PM with what you had in mind. They are still stripped down as in the pictures making them easy to package up.

Hey mono plane. I have the exact kit you do!! Having the same issues figuring out what it is. Mine is the same color. 20" bass 14 Tom and snare and 16 inch floor tom. All mine have the pan logo as well as the made by pearl logo. All made with phelonic finer. Strangely they seem to be 69 presidents but have the 68 style hardware. Mine came with what appear to be 1966 Olympic kick pedal and hi hat stand zyn hi hats and a Stewart

Crash that has been converted to a sizzler not sure if the kicker and hi hat stand are what would have came its the kit anyone with info please let me know. They may be old but they sound great. I will try and get some pics posted. How is your restoration going.

Hey mojomunki...thanks for sharing the information on your kit. Sounds like a a neat kit! I would love to see some pictures please. I sold my kit in 2013 but still have the snare. I really like the cool look and sound of these drums but needed to trim my collection back. The kit turned out very nice, however I couldn't find real nice lugs for the toms and bass drum. The shells were in great shape and the wrap had faded to a gray/blue color.

I have a set of these also. I owned the snare for a little while, then came across the three piece. The three piece had the "Pan" badge removed. I know this because you can see the small nail holes where the badges were were. Not Presidents.

The snare is LOUD!

I was surprised when I removed the heads off the toms to see they may have been silver sparkle at one point in time. They have faded consistently to a gold sparkle, but are fairly dull. Was thinking of re-wrapping them in different color pearls, as I can't find a wrap to match the snare.

They should clean up nicely when I get around to it. Also thinking of selling them.
