After nearly 6 months of disassembling, washing, polishing, waiting, glueing and assembling, project vistalite is virtually completeWalking Thank you very much to all for their input and especially Purdie Shuffle for his invaluable advice.

Wow! They came out great. All I have to see is those clear black dots on top and I can hear them in my head. Enjoy them now after all that work and waiting. Glad to have been of service. Pass on what you learned! Next time somebody shows up asking about how to repair Vistalite shells, you'll be something of an expert. :p

Thank you guys. Battled to find those black dot here in South Africa but hard work paid off. Now I am so nervous about marking them :-) The kick front head was an old black dot where I cut the dot out and had a Ludwig decal made professionally. I hope the size of the Ludwig name is more or less correct in proportion. Anyway, time to leave the office and go and hit the babies - did not have much time last night as I finished up to late.

Very nice! blue vistas are my fav also, really wanted one back in the early 70's and still do.
