1981 Gretsch single tom mount

Loading...

hi everybody, this is my first post on this beautiful forum..

just to introduce myself briefly, my name is Marco and I'm writing from Rimini, on the sunny eastern seaside of Italy..

I have recently bought a 1981 Gretsch "drop G - SSB#3" jazzette kit in rosewood laquer.. a really great deal but it need some elbow grease to shine as it did 30+ years back..

the first thing (and actually the only one missing) I'm looking for is an original "techware" single tom mount; the correct item number as per 1981 catalogue is no. #9001 "CR single tom mount" as the one in the picture you can see here following (that is a double mount - I just need a single one):

I have the 1" tube so I just need the clamp and the L arm

I would also need an extra tightening screw for the bass drum mount like this one (unfortunately mine is broken in half..)

i wait for your feedbacks and offers (consider I am in Italy - just for your considerations about shipping)

thanks a lot for your help!

cheers

Marco

Hi Marco. Welcome to the forum!

Are you saying you have only the tube? Not quite sure if the posted picture is of what you currently have.

I have a few Gretsch catalogs showing both the double and single tom mounts. There is no difference between them...other than the addition of the second bracket to make it a double. You just remove the lower bracket and the 9002 becomes a 9001. Hope this helps.

Hi Mark,

thanks for the welcome : )

no, actually the picture I have posted is a random picture I took from Google.. I have just the 1" vertical tube.. I'm looking for the clamp + L bracket - they just need to be identical to the one in the picture : )

thanks

Hi Marco!

Thanks for the clarification on what you have and need. Finding that bracket may be a tall order, but just keep looking on eBay, which may be your best bet. Good luck!

Just saw this on eBay. More than you need, but may be the only one around for some time.

OK, for some odd reason, I'm not able to copy/paste the eBay link. So, just go to the US eBay site and search for item 181441437105

Thanks guys for the help!

Apparently i have found what I was looking for from a guy in italy who has a huge amount of spare gretsch / rogers / slingerland parts in his garage..

So I feel really lucky this time (no custom clearance and extra costs for shipping :))

I will update you guys with some pictures of my kit.. My little treasure :)

I have in my plans to restore the entire kit which now is quite dirty and needs some love

Thanks again!!

That's great news, Marco! Don't hesitate to post pictures when your kit is all cleaned up!
