Help needed with old Revelle kit

Loading...

Thanks, Guys - I pick them up tomorrow, and I already sold the Sabian cymbals that come with them for just under the cost of the whole package. Looks like I'll get the drums for less than $50 overall.

I believe the wrap is called Peacock Pearl. I'll get them cleaned up and post some pics. Really excited about my first foray into vintage drums!

Okay, so here are the drums I bought. I've dusted them and am trying to decide how much more to do. Thoughts???? Worth taking them apart and doing this right?

The second picture shows what else I got in the deal. I'll be able to sell the cymbals and hardware for more than the $300 I paid for the package.

From rusticdrummer

How interesting is this old leather strap pearl bass drum pedal?

If it is tight, that very well could be a great pedal. Other than the entry level stencil pedals (like the "Pro Pedals"), old MIJ can be very good performing pedals.

Looks like a Pearl.....would you look at that - I can read Laughing H

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

That is a MAJOR score! I would consider keeping the stool - you don't see those very often. Sure it is comfy to use too :)

One more thing - yeah, I think that is a more rare color - and any Vintage Star kit in that good of shape deserves a full restore IMHO (especially with a rare color).
