I, for one, can believe that there are no bids on it...

I wouldn't buy that if I saw it in a pawn shop for $300...

To each his own.....

But there are several threads here about Ludwig Standards, and all agree the shells are the same as the top-of-the-line Ludwigs, sometimes with classic lugs, offered in some cool wraps. I did a "Search Forums" and found this one....one of many, actually .... they were a good read.

And, I like my BLT on untoasted white bread...

But, to each his own....

It doesn't bug me that you got it. If that's what you're into, then congrats! It probably sounds as sweet as it looks!

As for my personal tastes, I don't dig the strata finishes or the granitone interiors. I'm more of a sparkle finish and clear maple or white interior guy. But, that's just me...

Me too. Gold, Red, and Blue...in that order. LOVE the sparkles. I agree with the interiors, also. I like a clear maple inside. That's actually what turned me off to Rogers for so long. My fave kit is my Slingerland. It's got really thin shells, almost clear maple interior, and natural mahogany stained maple outer. The shells are the thinnest I've ever seen on a 3-ply kit. Looking for a set of calipers to measure them. Seriously thin! I'm just funning with you on this thread. Hope you don't mind the kiddin'. I'm going to get these kits up and then sell them. I'm only keeping two - a Slingy and a Luddy. I got the others to have some fun with and bless someone else. Good stuff, man.
