Star snare drum 60's 70's complete restoration

The restoration of this snare drum is now complete the hoops were too rusty and unfortunately they are not going back on the snare drum. I have kept them and will be enquiring as to re-chrome....Thanks...sean

Thanks Mark As you know these are solid snare drums. The condition of this one for year is really good. They certainly dont make classy drums like these vintage guys any more.......sean

I gotta ask - do these Vintage Star Steel snares sound any different than the Vintage 10 lug Pearl made snares from the same era. (See attached pic). I gotta know!

and how do they compare?
