[COLOR="DarkRed"]WOW...amazing...I gotta tell you, I love picking up ragamuffin old drums...but if I had seen THOSE, I would have just kept walking.

Way to go. Nice video, BTW. And I like the blue-label 602's....sweet.

So...what did you use to bring the chrome snare back up to shine. Also, did you de-rust all of that incredibly rusted hardware, or just replace it ?

Lastly...are the drums in the soundtrack the Luddies ? ;)

Yes I like the 602's a lot.

I used Ranex. It's Australian; but the US has many more like it (phosphoric acid based rust removers) I replaced a few parts; not too many. Up close, some are quite rough; but I'm looking at options.

Sure are. Thanks mate. All the best - pk

[COLOR="DarkRed"]yes, I can see some of the chrome is still pretty pitted...BUT, it's a hella nice resto job...

AND that stuff, there's no rush on replacing...you can do a few lugs at a time starting with the worst ones, etc. My one suggestin, however, is: KEEP the lugs and claws, rods, mounts etc. that you replace. It's always a good idea to keep the original factory pieces from the set, even if they ain't prom-queens....

Thanks Jaye. Can I ask a dumb question? If I posted a close-up, do you think you could tell if the lugs were nickel or chrome? Is there an easy way to tell?

Thanks for your time - it's much appreciated.
