Ludwig Lugs for Ludwig Lugs...

Loading...

Hey, I'm needing some large classic Ludwig lugs, chrome plated. They can be 7or8-out-of-10 condition. Need at least 20. Will take the screws but don't need them. Can be for 3 ply or 6 or vistalites.

Also need 6 to 8 of the longer, chrome "Mach" style lugs.

Also needing "cup" style washers.

What I've got is several (around 28 or 30) Ludwig bowtie lugs, nickel plated, in the same condition. These are (of course) the Pioneer/Jazzfest style, NOT the acrolite.

I've also got two sets of 14/8 Ludwig nickel plated snare drum rims (top and bottom). 8of10 condition.

I've also got 8 Slingerland snare drum lugs (chrome) 9of10 condition. Many, many of Slingerland's marching lugs (like Ludwig's "mach" lugs), but only in 4or5of10 condition. Also, 12 of these lugs only the shorter ones off a "Scotch" marching BD. Chrome, 8of10 condition.

I've also got several marching BD shells (Ludwig, Slingerland) mosty 10x26 but at least one (and maybe 2) 8x28 "Scotch" style drums. Also some concert BD shells, 14x32s.

Pictures later today if you need them...

Thanks!

Hi, Bill. I have some "mach" lugs I might be willing to trade for the Slingy snare lugs. Are the single or double tension. I have a slingy marching snare I wanted to cut down, and it came with single beavertails. Let me know...

The Slingerland snare lugs I have (set of 8) were off of a damaged 5-ply shell (late 70s) like this:

The Slingerland high-tension lugs that I have are like this:

I have both longer and shorter ones...

I could send you pictures later today... do you have pics of your mach lugs?

Thanks!

Forgive my ignorance, but will those snare lugs (student or artist model) work (depth-wise) on a late '50s Slingy marching snare? Here's a pic of my "machs." They are off a B/O pointy badge 12x15 marching tom.

Here's a pic of two of the lugs. They will work on either the older 3-ply or the late 70s 5 ply.

I was wrong... I have a set of 10 of them, not 8...

Mitch,

The ones I have aren't the clip style as in your picture... they are regular rims like those that would go on newer drums...

That's exactly what I want to do - swap em out for triple flange like you have - the single flange goes through sticks way too fast and the lugs sit too high, occasionally deflecting a rim shot.
