repercussions

Good questions and I don't know. I never look at them or repercussions for market value of things...their prices are more like pipe dreams. But like someone else posted they must have some sort of customer base and following. Pictures are weird and so is the music...

30's Radio King - 26, 13, 13, 16
49 - WFL Ray McKinley - 26, 13, 16
58 - Slingerland Duco
58 - Slingerland Krupa Deluxe
70 - Ludwig Champagne Sparkle - 20, 12, 14
70 - Ludwig Champagne Sparkle - 22 (need), 13, 16
And some others..

What is the deal with that pOOder seller, anyway? That weird picture array, with the "zoom in on item /fade to Statue of Liberty and other unrelated pictures" thing going on there??I sent them a question asking for pics of stamps on a cymbal, and was replied to, but was totally side stepped, and got no pics, either.... since then, I've stayed away, deleted everything I was watching from them.

Shes another one to stay away from..She the worse of the worse of them all..She sells on ebay under p00der2---I also sell on ebay[for years] i had a part that she wanted and she wanted me to shop the auction and sell it to her,i said no i would not do that.so i walked away from it and block her from bidding on my parts she sent me a email and went off on me making it personal said many things, even said that she was going to ebay about it.SHE IS BAD NEWS I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM HER AT ALL COST...mike

I would do the same....she's had a vintage ghost pedal for sale on ebay for about a year. Its rather beat up and she wants $125! for it. I think I got that much once on ebay for a ghost pedal I sold and it was like new out of the box! p00der definately is smoking some kind of pipe....not necessarily a pipe dream....lol!

I like the $75 Gretsch stop sign badge I keep seeing. Not a drum, mind you...just the badge for $75! I see a lot of her auctions go up time after time with the same items and I can only assume her high costs are to cover all the seller's fees from the dozens of times each item is listed before it sells.

This is a great and invaluable thread for a relative newcomer to vintage drum buying on ebay, thanks.

Maybe someone should start a sticky thread in the ebay section of great and poor experiences with ebay sellers???

I have only bought 1 item from kingsmusic in Annapolis MD, but his documentation is great, his auctions are usually NR for nice gear and he was pro all the way.

It took an attempted Ebay ripoff of grand proportions and the subsequent condemnation by the hierarchy of the vintage drum world to set King on the straight road . Personally , I wouldn't buy a toothpick from him .

1963 Gretsch Progressive Jazz Champagne Sparkle
1967 Ludwig Super Classic Oyster Blue Pearl
Yamaha Birch Custom Absolute Burgundy Spkl. bop
etc...

Wow!!! Would not have guessed that from my 1 solid experience (the condemnation must must have worked). Sounds like some fascinating online vintage drum lore. Maybe I'll find out about it one way or another.

I hate these kinds of threads. Not that there shouldn't be a way to voice opinions on who we've had positive or negative experiences with but it always seems that those with bad experiences speak up more loudly than those who have had good ones. I'd like to say a nice thing or two about Repercussions.

I have dealt with Cherie on several occasions and had good experiences every time. I'm not making excuses for unreturned emails or phone calls, but with a one woman business such as hers, I can only assume that things pile up from time to time and that some things occasionally fall through the cracks. And if all else fails, leave another polite message and /or take your business elsewhere.

Regarding prices, she is in the business of dealing drums and is obligated to make a profit somehow. This is what she does for a living after all. I've found all of her prices to be negotiable in person and over the phone. And yes, she has returned my phone calls each time I've left a message.

I recently visited her showroom in NH and found her inventory impressive and he knowledge equally so. No major complaints here. Just thought I'd chip in my two cents.
