After I questioned her about some minor issues I discovered with a kit I bought for $$$ , she threatened to report me to the Japanese tax authorities ( she said she had customers who worked there LOL) ! She very mistakenly thought I had a drum business going over here in Japan ( I teach JHS ) . Her emails were laced with enough venom to wither a city .

If she were a Broadway show, these would be called "mixed reviews".

I've only bought one thing from her. Pricey though not insanely so (all Camco is insane), shipped promptly, forgot an internal muffler, I emailed her about this omission, she apologized and sent it without question (plus another little part I hadn't expected).

Like I said, mixed...

I do remember her posting a very venomous letter to another drum forum founder as well as one of it's members ( a well known gigging drummer and decent guy) Someone from the forum asked her a question and had a post on it on the forum, Ms. Willoughby answered the question on an Ebay Q and A for a listing and the person who started the post on the forum shared with others, not long after that, Ms. Willoughby posted a rather nasty reply to the question, as well as some of her personal thoughts on the drum forum founder and the gigging drummer, even personally attacking the gigging drummer for his career.

She may be well known among the drum community and respected by some, but from the little bit that I saw personally in writing, I will never deal with her. I'm sure she has her niche, as does that p00der person on Ebay, but economy being what it is, I'm sure business isn't what it used to be....

You are correct, sir. One of my favorite movies......and a brilliant acting job by Val Kilmer IMHO.

I've only dealt with her once and that was to get my black panther ludwigs back. Apparently she bought stock of what was the remains of EU Wurlitzer here in New England.....and those happened to be among them still. I probably paid too much and it did take her forever to respond to emails. Would I deal with her again? Probably not....prices are waay too high. The best part of her business that I've noticed is some of the "vintage" Gretsch parts she's selling as NOS. They are not NOS, they are currently available new parts from Gretsch at much inflated prices. Something you can get from any Gretsch dealer for probably a lot less....

I'm sure she has her niche, as does that p00der person on Ebay,

What is the deal with that pOOder seller, anyway? That weird picture array, with the "zoom in on item /fade to Statue of Liberty and other unrelated pictures" thing going on there??

I sent them a question asking for pics of stamps on a cymbal, and was replied to, but was totally side stepped, and got no pics, either.... since then, I've stayed away, deleted everything I was watching from them.
