$1202.00 to $1800.00 on Ebay!

I have looked at those. im amazed at the price range. but this one is a bit more banged up than any of those imo. just wanted to get a second opinion before I bite the bullet for something that expensive.

The observed price range is large because the expected price depends on a number of factors including:

good sound file

lighter weights get a higher price

better condition get a higher price

signature still there might get a higher price

paper tag might get a higher price

you get what you get on the day (things are just quite variable)

day of week and time when auction ends

international shipping (a plus)

These factors can interact to produce an observed price range of plus or minus 50% quite easily.

Is the one you are considering as spider cracked as mine?

I'm curious about the values orangemi came up with. Are those based on what is showing in the current list of completed auctions? I looked using "istanbul k intermediate 22" and there is only one competed auction showing for me. This one:

which is the $1202. All the rest are "asking not getting" prices which doesn't really tell you much. So where do the rest of those values come from? Or is it just that eBay isn't showing me all the ones you can see. They keep messing with the programming and not all searches get everything they should from every IP address.

its about like that. part of the signature is still there. there are about 5 ended listings between 1200-1800.

I see more results if I don't include the "intermediate" in my search terms. One "stealth" intermediate mis-identified as an old stamp, and some don't say intermediate or indicate which era they are at all.

I didn't say before that Old Stamps are in shorter supply compared to demand, so they also fetch the highest prices. Intermediate and New Stamp eras are not generally the highest prices. Since you were asking about an Intermediate, I left that info as "implicit" but I realize I shouldn't have. This info on differences in pricing by era comes from my own work, but my main reference is Bill Maley who deals in these for a living and knows his pricing. Otherwise he wouldn't stay in business.

If you have some serious spider cracks and some keyhole, then I'd guess more likely $900 to $1000 is a good price for you. But then a good price for you may not sound like a good price for the seller. And it still depends on how it sounds. It's all about how it sounds unless it is an "investment opportunity" rather than a musical instrument. :2Cents:

well those 2 pennies are appreciated. I know crap about cymbals like this. which is why I want to get every opinion I can. as I take it hes in retirement mode and just wants to pass it on to someone who can appreciate what it is. he doesn't keep up much with values so im hoping hes pleased with that range.
