but like everything else it most likely needs 150 k for restoration
Trading house in ny for drum collection!
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
tough crowd here! I though/think its a win win situation for the right two people.

Then why not sell it, put $40k into a collection and the other $40 into a trust for the kid? Or your retirement fund. Or charity. Or whatever the hell you want. Would you just give away $40k cash if you had it lying around? Jeez man, go talk to a financial adviser or at least anyone with some basic mathematical ability.
i said the house is assessed and valued at 80K, didn't say i paid 80K ya goon. maybe when u buy a house outright for cash you can talk to me about financial advisors.
uh, not quite... house is in great shape and need minimal cosmetic upgrades, like wainscoting on the kitchen walls and a floating floor in the kitchen since i peeled the linoleum up. maybe some paint to your preference and a good cleaning... the house is livable as is, or with as little as 2 grand you can give it a cosmetic facelift to suite your preference. yes, its a legit deal, trade your drums for a house, no BS. believe it.
roundbadge: If I had the collection, I would trade in a second. On collecting, I have found that the true joy is the thrill of the hunt. Knowing exactly what you want and waiting until it is available at your budgeted price. No other feeling quite like it. Best of luck.
Well I would be willing to trade but my collection is not so large. I do have some Gretsch drums though :)

Wow, right near Swan Lake and Woodstock, commutable to NYC for your gigs.
Sounds like a cool deal. Good luck. Too bad your not in Wisconsin.
I'm actually in the market for a small no frills country cottage or cabin. Seems I'm about a 5 hour drive from your house though. I might be interested in a week rental at some point. The area looks nice.
