What kind of kit is this, like a CB?

I am going to help a friend of mine clean up his old kit that he hasn't used in years, and it's got a couple issues.

First off, trying to figure out what these lugs are. They look like CB Percussion or Pearl...

The floor tom leg is missing and the lug is cracked. Need to source one (looks common).

The shells are the standard, luan vertical-grain. We know the kit isn't worth anything other then a sentimental value so I'm just going to spiff it up a bit and give it some new heads. He bought it used back then and there's no info stamped anywhere, no badges. If anyone knows what I've got here by the lugs that would help, and also point me in the right direction for that cracked lug. Thanks :)

Kits:
1966 Ludwig Hollywood Gold Sparkle Pearl 12/13/16/22
Star 3pc in Red Glass Glitter (1960's)
Snares:
1959 Ludwig Pioneer Mahogany
60's Ludwig Pioneer Gold Sparkle
60's Ludwig Acrolite (Keystone)
Ludwig/Custom 6.5x14
1960's Bolero (MIJ)

Pearl indeed made CB kits. Not sure how to tell how this was badged, especially without any marks from badges that were removed evidence of the shape or something.

The looks of the hardware suggests 80s or newer IMHO

Would likely be quite easy to find that mount on Ebay.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Flush it! SHHHHHH - flush it down the toidy! Honestly, to me it looks like very cheap MIT, and not worth even keeping for spare parts. If it's anything like the few I've come across, it really is poor quality, and I'm a MIJ collector. The broken leg mount is indicative of the poor quality metal hardware used, (you can tell by the pitting on lugs) and chances are, if you replace the one, you'll soon need to replace a second. This style, (Pearl) lug is one of the most commonly copied, and is hard to nail down a specific manufacturer. Appears to be a low lug count as well - what is the rack tom, 4 or 5 lugs per side? You might want to salvage the highly sought after, 'black gloss wrap'... Don't put any $ into this, seriously, as you will not get it back. You might get them to sound okay with some work, but beyond that... in the dumper. This is just my opinion of course.

That leg mount is standard issue 90's CB. Any number of generic 80's-90's MIT mount should have the same footprint.

Haha, thats great. Yeah we both know the kit is garbage. Yeah 12" rack tom has 4 lugs. But he'd been using pin stripes on these top and bottom so they sounded like 70s cardboard boxes. I think the real question now is if its even worth getting new heads for it :) I of course suggested we replace them but by the time we replace the heads all around we could probably pick up a vintage MIJ for not much more. I'm going to pop on a semi-used Diplomat head on the 12 and see if anything sounds better than it did with some coaxing.

Being a 4 lugger, I don't think that is either a Pearl or CB. They were usually 6. I think you've got an even cheaper MIT or MIC. Early Pearls and CBs weren't great, but they were better than that. Still, I've restored plenty of 4 luggers, and I've made them sound great even with Pinstripes. Trick is a good bearing edge and a clear Ambassador or Diplomat on the bottom. You should have no trouble sourcing that leg mount. I may even have one floating around the shop.

Oh and if you want to replace the heads I have brand new heads that work great on those. Single layer 10 mils mylar, same spec as Remo Ambassador. I have some listed on eBay right now. Awesome. I kept thinking it was a "Banko's" kit (if you live in the CT valley you know the place) and was even thinking Sunlite. I'm probably gonna get one tom going and go from there and see what I end up with.
