Help me date my vintage Rogers bass drum

Loading...

Man tell me about it ,what I have found is there is a very narrow window in which to really identify Rogers drums. I have a black 4 piece set with serial numbers and paper badges that identify them to the 1960's with the Holiday model#7624 on the inside of the bass drum which is 16x20. The expert at Rogers drums at this very site told me the bass drum had a pearl tom set-up on my Rogers bass drum which he was totally correct about. My two toms on the bass drum are 12x9 left and 13x10 right the floor tom is 14x15 and has a paper tag saying Holiday Model #107195 on the inside of the floor tom on the outside bracket that holds the floor tom leg it has etched in the bracket #K0999206. I have no idea what the tags mean or the etched # I am told that the workers at the drum factory just randomly used tags when they ran out of the right tags. This I know for sure is that the strip of wrap on the bass drum is pearl. I lost the other wrap because it fell off and was to messed up to repair. I look at old catalogs provided by Vintage Drums but I do not see a match on the site.

Good luck man I really can't help you but maybe this info will be able to move you along.

PICS.

Your bass drum tag says "Holiday" either typed in or handwritten with the original Line name marked out? The 107195 is a speckled gray interior Dayton era, 1968.

I have a Rogers Koa Floor tom that seems to be about the same era. Mine is in excellent condition but I'm looking to sell it and have someone who needs it to complete his kit. Any idea how much a Rogers early 70s era 16" floor tom in great condition would be worth? I'm guessing a couple hundred bucks or more?
