This is a perfect example of what us Aussie collectors are up against

First off....how much is that in U.S. funds?
Also, what would you pay in AUS Dollars just to have it shipped from U.S....if it were here?
Aussie Dollar buys 90c US at the moment so theres not much difference. Dont know what others have found but Ive always found shipping from the US to here very expensive so it'd probably work out roughly the same?
Or more...
I wanna say it's around $300-350 to ship a FT to OZ...
you are not going to find a drum that nice here for $200...so actually, that might a great price!
Thats what I mean though, we either pay a ridiculous amount for a drum or pay heaps to have one shipped in, so we are trapped every time. Either way its gonna hit the pocket harder than the guys across the pacific. Just wanted to point out how lucky you all are ;)
Where I live there ARE practically NO American vintage drums available at all.
If there appears a set from time to time, it's ridiculously overpriced, much like th FT you posted.

Yes but Prague is so awesome! When I lived in Germany I used to head there all the time :( Good thing I bought all my Sonor drums there because here they are very expensive!
I shipped a snare to Australia for $80 or so.

I`m in Canada and i do feel very fortunate to live in a zone that seems to have an endless supply of vintage drums of all makes.However...that being said we do still pay a hefty amount for them in nice condition like that floor tom, albeit the shipping is obviously less than shipped to OZ but still pricey none the less shipped to Canada. When it comes to vintage you REALLY do get what you pay for most of the time.
Cheers,
Wayne

If US based sellers are really serious about selling/shipping to OZ they need to avoid that Ebay calculated shipping fee and post up some realistic and honest freight fees..
Eg; on Ebay now (amongst the other 10 thousand of instances)
(1) replica beavertail lug , cost US 6.49... Plus shipping to OZ US 23.59.
That's 33.68 AU for 1 bloody lug..
Cheers
That's shipping by Priority though...
1st Class would be quite a bit less....
