The 22" and the hi-htas all have the later 50's stamp. The 18" has an early 60's stamp. All of these are close enough in era so that its entirely possible that your father purchased this whole set together on the same day, possibly cira 1960.
Wow! That's great information!
These are not my dad's drums. I just purchased them from someone locally in North Carolina. The previous owner got them with a house he recently purchased. The house was purchased fully furnished and included the drums. The guy did not know much about them at all! They appear very original. All the tags are intact. The only thing I can find that is not original is the tom mount. It even has a few heads that appear to be original. It came with everything, including the cymbals, stands and high hat stand. Its just missing the original bass drum pedal.
Now I will start working on the vintage drum side of the forum to try to figure out when the drums were built.
Thanks again for the great information!
Greg
Nice matching set of late 50's cymbals. (i think).. thats my favorite era of a zildjian that i have owned.

Thanks! I'm so happy with them! The 22" ride is so versatile! The hi hats are killer. I really wish Zildjian would start making cymbals like this again!
