Camco single braces are pretty great. Not a lot heavier than the flat bases but significantly less "rocking" than the flat bases. Come up often enough and not always at insane prices. Around $100 seems to be the going rate.
I think all the above mentioned are excellent, depending on individual taste. What I do not understand is why the new Hi-hat stands(and all hardware for that matter)needs to be so HEAVY!It seems it is being sold by the pound! Not necessary.
I don't like the newer heavy HH stands either. They seem to be built for either the heavy-footed rock guys who literally stomp on their HH's, or the nightly giggers who throw their hardware into the back of vans. Maybe these stands are just the right product for the right purpose. As I previously mentioned, I use either a swan-leg Rogers or a Ludwig Standard HH for light work, but when a heavier foot is necessary, my Rogers Memriloc can hold up to anything.
I recently picked up some sonor late 60s the "champion" series I believe. HH stand and snare stand. The snare stand is interesting. Durable but not heavy like a lot of later sonor hardware. But the snare basket is really cool, has a lever that locks drum in basket. Ahead of its time for sure IMHO.

I have three 600 series dual cymbal stands. Often I do hang one tom off the stand also. They are SUPER heavy and I maybe only gig them now 1% of the time. Great stands but way too heavy.
I have one you very rarely see at all...... .if at all....
It's a circa 1966 Meazzi Hollywood "Rapid".......Italian made..
I think it has as good,if not better , chrome then Premier!
For lighter music..it sure is cool...will post pics later..
It is FS BTW...but not cheap..as I had it shipped from Germany to me....
I use the Ludwig double spring Atlas.I think it is the earliest model.Light and smooth. The chrome is perfect, along with the swivel feet .
