Loading...

HY Vintage guys:-)

i am back with another question. Can somebody tell me date of that Royal Star Snaredrum. I just get that thing for 20 Euro. It´s quite dirty but it does sound very well.

Maybe some of you knows something about it?

regards

I'm no expert on Japanese drums, but this looks like a Slingerland Sound King copy - I believe someone else in the forum said that this was typical of Japanese manufacturers in the 1960s and 1970s. So it's probably from back then.

Hi, Christian;

I would say that your snare dates from the mid to late sixties. By 1970-1971, round badges came into production. The shell, lugs and strainer seem original to the era as well. The drum should clean up nicely and sound very good.

P.S. Check out Ralf's site.

Something around that date should be correct.Yes Sir

Nice score, including the complete damper and lever. Plus the low price.
