Preferred Brass Polish

Hi, guys!

I am about to assemble a brass shelled snare ( 14 X 6 1/2 )with some pretty cool parts including a brass Ludwig P-86 strainer, solid brass tube lugs and even brass t-rods. My parts should be in within a week or so. What I'm wondering is what is the best type of brass polish you would recommend? I've heard good things regarding Simichrome Polish but, I wanted to hear from you first. Thanks very much.

A word of caution...Simichrome is indeed great, on bare brass. However, if the parts you are getting are already polished and coated with clear lacquer or polyurethane you don't want to polish that off. In that case you should just use a good auto paint polish.
