It is a sad fact that workshops of this degree of skill are dwindling in number. Another ,in Europe, is Dresdner Apparatebau, although they specialize in drums. Far too many of the small drum makers are using premanufactured shells and or off the shelf hardware. Even some major makers use premanufactured shells and off the shelf hardware.

Kind of takes the individuality out of the product , similar to most modern cymbals. It's the uniqueness and individuality, not predictability ,that makes vintage percussion stand apart from the crowd.

Deslaurier was an instrument maker in the 50s, and your snare looks to 50s snare French...

Very little information about Deslaurier, like many French makers after the WWII, who were mostly small workshops ...

Deslaurier was therefore a "drum and bass drums factory", successor of ROBIN-TALMA that existed in the 10s. "Home" was the term used in the early twentieth in France to designate the instrument manufacturers.

The muffler was a model also used by Beuscher & Seimatone

The strainer was also used by Mori's in France and Belgium as Marius Renatus

The hook & screw were also used by Beuscher, and Metjazz

It's in a restoration state but it's complete. Here's how she looks right now. I borrowed the snare pic from another forum member but mines exact except for the knob and mine is an 8 lugger Rich

Prumuco or "look like Promuco" lugs on bass drum and snare are from UK.

as I can remember Kent never did a double tom set.

we don't know where the shells came from.

that's why I think about a mixed set recoverd in WMP
