What is the difference in hole spacing between a large classic ludwig lug, and a small one? Im trying to ask a guy on ebay if this drum is drilled for large or small ones, but I dunno if he knew what I was talking about.

Small classic lug spacing is 1 1/4" and the large is 1 11/16"

And, FYI : large classics spacing = standard/rocker style spacing to boot.

The exception to that rule is the standard/rocker bass lugs....they have a 2 3/8" hole spacing....same as a classic snare lug.FYI

Oh yes, I found this out the hard way once. I bought a Rocker 9x10" rack tom that had the Rocker II lugs fitted with the intention of swapping the lugs to the classics to make it match my kit as it was the same WMP finish as the rest of my kit. Well.....guess what? Ludwig in their infinite wisdom of using up extra parts fitted BASS LUGS to it! The pattern is larger and that meant I would have to drill extra holes in the drum to make the classic lugs work. Well.....there the drum sits as I bought it because I really don't want to do that.......
