That is a nice looking kit and, while the Premier mount is not original, it is a vast improvement over what was originally there.

Thanks for your comments. The premier mount has been a great replacement for lots of drummers getting rid of flimsy original features. The other star kit i have in metallic blue with the rail is as solid as a tank. Both kits look and sound great, i must get some pics fully set up and recorded on you tube.

Beautiful kit! I may be wrong and you can check with Ralf but, Star became Tama in 1974. Royal Stars would be part of the Tama line post 1974. In the long run, it really doesn't matter. Those beautiful drums when tuned will sing! Congratulations on a great kit!
